Here are some of our outstanding success stories.
These smart, hard-working B-Schoolers put in tremendous
time, energy, and sweat equity to create
Before B-School, I was living the corporate life. My goodness, I was living it to a T. I was in management consulting and private equity and I was doing all the right things, following the path I thought I had to follow. And then I found B-School and my world opened up in a way that I didn’t even think was possible.
Two years after B-School, I finally left my job to start my own business. This was a HUGE win for me. Prior to B-School, I don’t think I would have even considered this a realistic possibility because the world of entrepreneurship seemed out of reach and unattainable unless I had the next Facebook in my back pocket.
Since taking the leap, my health has improved drastically, my relationships (both with myself and those around me) have become considerably healthier and I’m truly leading a life I’m excited to live each day vs dragging myself out of bed and going to a job that left me crying in the bathroom stall at work.
The beginning stages of starting your own thing can feel completely unnerving and B-School’s step-by-step approach provided clarity and guidance when I needed it. For example, when I first started I wasn’t sure how to build a website, but I used the resources inside B-School to custom create each of my first two sites. Then, a couple of years in when my business changed, I was able to tap into those resources again to determine the best approach for the next stage of my web presence.
Once you’re a B-Schooler, you’re always a B-Schooler. As a solopreneur, that piece alone was pivotal to counteracting the forces that lead to entrepreneurial burnout.
One key differentiator of B-School among other, more traditional learning experiences I’ve had is that I walked away feeling that I uniquely had something to offer the world. B-School focused on making business more human.
Then, in the span of two months, I did two TEDx talks and launched my 5-star rated podcast, Checkbox Other, which now has thousands of listeners and consistently works to speak the unspoken to create a more connected world.
My time at a business school always focused on having a core niche and only doing one thing at a time. But B-School encourages the reality that so many of us are multi-passionate entrepreneurs. For me, the guidance that made room for multiple streams of my business to grow and thrive. If not for that mentality, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to be a speaker, a facilitator, a coach, a podcast host, a writer and so much more. I would’ve been stuck in one box that didn’t sufficiently allow me to tackle the focus of my work, bringing people together through shared humanity.
I always encourage people to take the leap because B-School is going to give you gifts that you don’t even know. There’s so much more that’s within you that you haven’t seen yet.
