Before B-School, I despaired that maybe anything related to online marketing was not for me. I saw people online who were in-your-face and profitable, and others who were friendly, elegant and broke. I wanted to be neither in-your-face nor broke, so I thought perhaps I should not even bother with anything besides a placeholder website.
B-School taught me The Marie Trifecta of friendly + elegant + profitable. It showed me a way forward I could be proud of. Now I’m going for it wholeheartedly, so that I can reach more people than just the select number of clients I can work with one-on-one.

The best part: An entire village of 100+ people will be coming out of slavery and into sustainable freedom in Uttar Pradesh, India. I donate a percentage of income to Voices4Freedom, which uses an innovative transitional school model to educate enslaved children and to free entire villages from generations of slavery.
Thanks to the higher-than-average income I’ve generated, I’m able to donate enough to cover all the costs of helping these villagers free themselves. I started Freedom Ambassadors to honor and celebrate other influencers who are joining with their own online community audiences to help other villages free themselves.
Another great part: I’ve gotten to do all this while working only half-time, so that the rest of the time I’m with my crazy-cool daughters, ages 12 and 5.
