Stuck, grumpy, busy, anxious and worried.
The resistance was killing me softly. Too many people were calling me "kuh-raz-eee" (to put it lightly). Even my family, who is mega-supportive was like, "You are going to put a PayPal button where?" I desperately needed a miracle, a Fairy Godmother, to make it work!
B-School gave me the know-why and the know-how to build a business and a life more suited for Mayi, a home where I can drink my daily shot of wheatgrass, have a backyard BBQ (and be hubby's sous chef), take jumping jack breaks, create big tsunamis of change in the world (the good kind) all without ever taking off my paint-stained Eeyore pajamas.
Thanks to B-School, I found Mayi minus the self-sabotage and compulsion to conform. Once the "what will they think?" script was gone, it's been uphill on steroids. I tripled my mailing list, quadrupled my piggy bank, helped angel invest in the beach house hubby and I had always dreamed of (B-Schoolers cordially invited), and partnered with the most amazing business side kick in the galaxy: April Bowles-Olin.
Pumped, happy, alive, confident and in love.
I pinch myself frequently to see if I'm dreaming, though, lately it's been happening with less frequency. I think it's finally beginning to sink in: this is really happening. This is no fairy tale, this is my life.
For years grads told us how B-School changed their lives, not just their businesses. We decided to document and share their experiences through this collection of interviews and videos.
“My business partner and I have young children at home. We really wanted...”
“You look around and think, I’m not where I thought I’d...”
